The ultimate comfort food, this bacon cheeseburger pie combines the rich flavors of ground beef, crispy bacon, and cheddar cheese into a savory, crustless delight!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large eggs
½ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish with non-stick spray.
Cook the Ground Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked (about 6-8 minutes). Drain any excess fat and stir in Worcestershire sauce (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Prepare the Bacon Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine crumbled bacon, cooked ground beef, and ½ cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Make the Custard:
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream until smooth. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Assemble the Pie:
Spread the beef and bacon mixture evenly in the greased pie dish. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the meat, then top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Bake the Pie:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
Serve:
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, then slice and serve hot.
