Toffee Layer

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Toppings

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips (or dark/semisweet)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Crushed graham crackers
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Chopped pecans or peanuts

Instructions

1. Prep & Preheat

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Arrange Graham Crackers

  • Break graham crackers into squares and place in a single layer on the sheet.

3. Make the Toffee

  • In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat.
  • Stir 2–3 minutes until bubbly and slightly thickened.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt.

4. Assemble the Base

  • Pour toffee over graham crackers, spreading evenly.
  • Bake 5–7 minutes until bubbling.

5. Add Chocolate & Marshmallows

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot toffee, let melt (1 min), then spread.
  • Top with mini marshmallows, return to oven for 2–3 minutes to toast.

6. Cool & Break

  • Let cool completely (speed it up in the fridge!).
  • Break into pieces and devour!
