Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked ham (6–8 lbs, bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices, juice reserved
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ham:

    • Place the ham flat side down in the crock pot.
    • Use a knife to score shallow lines in a crisscross pattern on the surface of the ham.
  • Make the Glaze:

    • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, pineapple juice (reserved from the can), honey, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves.
  • Assemble:

    • Spread half of the glaze over the ham.
    • Arrange pineapple slices on the ham and secure with toothpicks if needed.
    • Add maraschino cherries in the center of each pineapple slice (optional).
  • Cook:

    • Cover and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours, basting with the remaining glaze every hour.
    • The ham is ready when it’s heated through and reaches an internal temperature of 140Β°F (60Β°C).
  • Serve:

    • Transfer the ham to a serving platter and remove the toothpicks.
    • Drizzle with the remaining glaze and garnish with extra pineapple slices and cherries if desired.

Notes

  • Use leftover ham for sandwiches, soups, or casseroles.
  • For a caramelized exterior, transfer the ham to a baking sheet after slow cooking and broil for 3-5 minutes.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar and honey.
